Telephone calls You can make telephone calls either from post offices or from phone booths.
Street phones take tokens or phonecards. Tokens are sold at post offices,
newspaper stands and newsagents in three values (A, B, C). Phonecards
are sold in four values and only at post offices.
Dial 00 to make an international call from Slovenia; to dial Slovenia
from abroad dial 386.
Mon-Fri: 7:30 - 19:00, Sat: 7:30 - 13:00
Some shops are also open in the evening and on holidays
and Sundays.
Currency The currency is the TOLAR (SIT). See the current
exchange rate of Bank of Slovenia.
Credit Cards In Slovenia Eurocheques and all major credit cards are
accepted, including Masters, Visa, American Express and Diners.

Sales Tax Foreigners are eligible for a refund tax on the purchase of
goods (except cigarettes and alcohol) amounting to more than 5,000
SIT and which are taken out of Slovenia.
