The æiker inn is well known to all who travel frequently between Maribor and Lenart - reputed for its well prepared traditional dishes and excellent wines from the estate's vineyards. Milan æiker maintains the high standards of quality established by his father Jo§e æiker, winner of numerous awards at wine fairs and a knight of the Burgerland-Pannonian Order.
æiker's 1.8 hectares (4.45 acres) grow mostly white grapes traditional to the Maribor area: Laçki Rizling is the dominant grapevine, and the winery is particularly well known for its Rumeni Muçkat. Its Rizvanec is a consistent table wine. Modra Frankinja is æiker's only red grape, producing a light wine of quality range.
æiker's wines are rarely found in shops as most are sold at the inn. The estate has a deep wine cellar with a well maintained wine archive.
Rumeni Muçkat has won most of æiker's awards, and his Beli Pinot, Laçki Rizling, and Muçkat Otonel have also been regaled with gold medals in Ljubljana and Maribor.
æiker's best vintages are 1983, 1985, 1986, 1991, and 1993.
