The Siker inn is well known to all who travel frequently between Maribor and Lenart - reputed for its well prepared traditional dishes and excellent wines from the estate's vineyards. Milan Siker maintains the high standards of quality established by his father Joze Siker, winner of numerous awards at wine fairs and a knight of the Burgerland-Pannonian Order.
Siker's 1.8 hectares (4.45 acres) grow mostly white grapes traditional to the Maribor area: Laski Rizling is the dominant grapevine, and the winery is particularly well known for its Rumeni Muskat. Its Rizvanec is a consistent table wine. Modra Frankinja is Siker's only red grape, producing a light wine of quality range.
Siker's wines are rarely found in shops as most are sold at the inn. The estate has a deep wine cellar with a well maintained wine archive.
Rumeni Muskat has won most of Siker's awards, and his Beli Pinot, Laski Rizling, and Muskat Otonel have also been regaled with gold medals in Ljubljana and Maribor.
Siker's best vintages are 1983, 1985, 1986, 1991, and 1993.
