"Erzetič" is a very common family name in Brda, which can be quite baffling for wine enthusiasts. Robert Erzetič is less well known than Aleksij Erzetič: he belongs to the latest generation of Brda vignerons who must still work to achieve recognition.
Robert Erzetič cultivates three hectares (7.4 acres) of vineyards near Plešivo; these are medium-height sites, between 200 and 300 meters (494 - 741 ft.) above sea level. White wines comprise the majority of his production: Sivi Pinot, Tokaj, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon. Merlot is his only red. He harvests thirty tons of grapes annually and produces 150 hectoliters (3963 gallons) of wine.
Most of Robert Erzetič's production is table wine. An annual one hundred hectoliters (2642 gallons) is a blend of Tokaj and Malvazija, particularly popular in Brda and neighbouring areas. Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Tokaj, and Merlot are bottled as varietal wines: half reach the high-quality range, the rest is quality wine.
Robert Erzetič's best vintage is the 1994.
