Avguštin in Danilo Mavrič have four hectares (9.9 acres) of vineyards near Plešivo, growing mostly white grapes. Most of their efforts go into Chardonnay, Tokaj, Sivi Pinot, and Beli Pinot, varieties with a long tradition in the Brda area. Merlot is their only red grape.

Their vineyards yield an average of 5.5 tons of grapes annually, and the Mavrič winery produces two hundred hectoliters (5284 gallons) of wines - 40% are table wines sold open to local inns, and 60% are bottled varietal wines of quality and high-quality range. Tokaj and Chardonnay are their best.

The Mavrič brothers began their independent winery only recently and still must promote the recognition of their brand name. They first exhibited at the Ljubljana Wine Fair in 1995. Their best vintages are 1993 and 1994.
