The small vineyard of Jurij and Slavica Cvitanic near Zamusanski vrh is meticulously maintained. Half of their one hectare (2.5 acres) is planted with Renski Rizling, the rest with Sipon and Sauvignon.
Renski Rizling is the Cvitanic specialty, a varietal wine prepared either from regular or late harvest grapes. Their semi-sweet late harvest Renski Rizling is particularly aromatic and quite heavy; the 1994 vintage won the winery the gold medal at the Ptuj Wine Fair. Production is unfortunately small: only fifteen hectoliters (396 gallons) annually, regular and late harvest wine combined.
In the Cvitanic vineyards, Sipon vines are a minority, but they yield more grapes than the Renski Rizling. Sipon is blended with Sauvignon in a quality wine, some 35 hectoliters (925 gallons) annually.
Due to the low production, the excellent Cvitanic Renski Rizling is very hard to find outside Podravje.
