Boris Lisjak is famous for his outstanding Kraški Teran, presented in elegant bottles specially designed by Oskar Kogoj. The old-style lettering on the dark glass spells "OSTI JAREJ," wishing the drinker lasting youth and health in old Slovene.
Lisjak spares no effort to produce this wine. The grapes are harvested carefully so that none of the berries get damaged. The berries are then gently separated from stems and precisely crushed. Strictly controlled maceration and the maturation of the wine in aged oak barrels produces a Kraški Teran of constant quality which tends to keep its specific bouquet and aroma longer than others.
For connoisseurs, Lisjak's Kraški Teran is consistently among the very best produced in Slovenia. The wine is very harmonious, its bouquet balanced although the characteristic raspberry fragrance dominates. The taste is complex and lasting.
"OSTI JAREJ," Teran has won Boris Lisjak a number of awards, ranging from gold medals at the Ljubljana and Gornja Radgona wine fairs to citations from the Order of St. Fortunat.
