7 News Support Utilities

The following sections describe various utilities which are part of the News distribution, and are used for various News maintenance tasks. Unless otherwise noted, these binaries are created by NewsBuild.Com, and can be found in the [News_Dist] directory. Since the NNTP server is usually set up along with News.Exe, and uses many of the same configuration files, it is described above in the section titled "Setting Up News as a Local Reader/Server".
