1918
October: liberation of all Slovenes from the territory of the former Austrian
monarchy is declared and in December the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and
Slovenes formed.
1929
The name of the state is changed to Yugoslavia.
1941
April 27th sees the formation of the OF (Liberation Front), an all people's
organization of progressive and freedom-loving Slovenes, which is to become
the pillar of the partisan struggle against the Germans, Italians and
Hungarians after the capitulation of Yugoslavia.
1943
The "Dolomite" Proclamation" receives approval at the assembly of activists,
giving the Slovene Communist Party a leading role.
1945
Fighting with the Germans in Carinthia and Styria continues until May 15th.
