Kranjska Gora, once a tiny village -- Borovska vas, nestles in north-west Slovenia beneath the jagged edges of Prisojnik and Razor and next to the border with Austria and Italy. From a village of small holdings and the well-to-do farm of Liznjek (now a museum) has grown a modern sports centre, in winter hosting the world alpine skiing tournament for the Vitranc Cup, and a large number of skiing, skating and walking enthusiasts eager to unwind. Close-by is Planica, a yearly scene of ski jumps, a true skiing holidays for Slovenes. In summer the picture is different -- green and blossoming. Morning salutations of mountaineers setting out on their tours to the nearby ridges can be heard amid awakening gardens, forest trails, the nearby lake, tennis courts, inns and mountain cottages.
Peace and tranquillity, sports and entertainment. This is Kranjska Gora!
Kranjska Gora can provide accommodation for 4,000 people in hotels, holiday homes, apartments and private rooms.
